Soooo at my new gym (24 Hour Fitness) I got a free 50-minute consultation with a fitness guy. We got to talking about goals, nutrition, strength training, yadda yadda yadda....next thing I know I've signed up for some sessions with a personal trainer.
Ha! Personal trainer? Sounds kinda pretentious. He's a body-builder, kinda looks like this:

Anyway, I had my first session yesterday and it was actually really fun. He kicked my ass a little, which is what I need. I miss having a coach like I did in high school, telling me what I need to do. I'm also actually learning a lot about what's going on inside my body when I'm exercising.
It's not like I'm trying to lose a bunch of weight or anything. I just would like to get back into good shape like I used to be. I've half-assed working out for the last year and kinda just need some motivation in my life.
Needless to say, I woke up this morning and can't really move. My muscles are totally sore ALL OVER. I've never needed a massage more in my life, and I've really only moved between my bedroom, the kitchen, and living room.
Hope I survive the rest of the sessions.

I'm impressed! I need my ass kicked too. I'm in horrible shape. I bet I would feel so much better. I need motivation!!
I need to follow your blog. Can't believe I haven't done it already. Oh boy.. this is a scary time to be talking about personal trainers, I just ate about a pound of ham! :D
